3 Amigos EdmontonThe 3 Amigos Edmonton is a place where you can go if you want to find an authentic Mexican restaurant. Their food claims to be "real Mexican" not an Americanized version. This resaurant has a casual, bright, and cheery atmosphere. It's definitely a family friendly place to eat.

Location: 4035 - 106 Street Edmonton, AB (780) 490-6394 Overall Rating: 3 star Go Again? Maybe - servings seemed a little small for the price we paid - we were still hungry after our meal. The main entrees were pretty good - but the standard rice and beans they served with it were not that exciting - had to add the hot sauce provided with the meal to give it a little more pizzaz. Food Served: Authentic Mexican

3 Amigos Edmonton ReviewWe had babysitters - and a night just the 2 of us sounded great - no matter what we were going to eat! We were both craving some Mexican food with some heat - so we asked around and were pointed to the 3 Amigos - one of the few authentic Mexican restaurants in Edmonton.
![]() We walked in, were given some menues to browse. After some careful thought and dicussion - we decided that we would order the Tacos and the Empanadas. We also tried a Pineapple Mexican Pop. We ordered the food to go - so that we could enjoy it picnic style at a park near by - especially since this might be one of the last evenings we could enjoy outside before the winter cold hit to hard. The eating area at the 3 Amigos seemed warm and cheery. It seemed like a place where a family with kids could enjoy a meal together. The wait for our food wasn't that long - so we were quickly on our way. I was excited to give this restaurant a try!
![]() The tacos (we chose steak) turned out to be pretty good. The portion seemed a little small. We were given little containers of sour cream, guacamole, and salsa so that helped spice the tacos up a little.
![]() This was the first time either of us had tried an Empanada - but we both thought they were really good - we enjoyed them much more than we did the tacos. They were good - but again the portion size seemed a little small.
Both meals were served with rice and refried beans - they were't exuding with flavor or anything - but when I added the sauces that were given with the meal - I thought it tasted pretty good.
![]() The Mexican pineapple pop was delicious - we both really enjoyed it - and just for fun I threw the sauces in the picture for you to see. We ate at Charles Anderson Park - it has benches and a picnic table and was only a couple of minutes drive from the restaurant - so if the weather's nice and you want to have a picnic - that's an option.
