Moving to Edmonton

Moving to Edmonton meant a big roadtrip for us. Here's an account of our travels to this exciting city.

We enjoyed a fun couple days of vacationing after our last big day of travel. We spent time with the grandparents enjoying everything from fishing, paddle boating, jumping on hay, visiting cows, weiner roasting, riding tractors and wagons...all with the goal of making the next big travel day more appealing for the kids.

Moving To Edmonton: Day 2

Miles Traveled: 810 miles

Times We Stopped: 3 times

Hours Traveling: 14 1/2 hours

Quoatable Quote: At least our 2 year old thought this was a quotable statement, she said it many times! "I want to get down." She had had enough of this driving thing.

Rest Stop Fun: When we stopped at a rest area, to our surprise and our kids absolute glee - there was a playground there!

We immediately declared a road trip break and our children ran joyfully screaming towards the playground.

After getting out of the car, our 1 year old refused to be carried. He firmly requested to be put on the ground and walk around everywhere while holding onto our fingers. Putting him back into the carseat again was a little challenging.
