Second Cup Edmonton Review

We were downtown with some friends for an event at Churchill Square Edmonton. After the event, we decided to hang out a little longer and try out the Second Cup just across from Churchill Square.

Second Cup is located just across the street from the Square, kiddy corner to the Windspear Theatre and is in the same building as the downtown public library.

For a downtown coffee franchise, I was surprised that it was not packed on a Saturday afternoon. There was a steady stream of people, but we didn't have to wait in line and it wasn't difficult to find seating.

Someone mentioned that the Second Cup in Sherwood Park is far more busy than this one was.

Second Cup is a coffee franchise, so it offers a comfortable cafe atmosphere, coupled with your typical cafe beverages and food - but of course it lacks some of the charm and appeal of the locally owned coffee shops.

Second Cup Edmonton has a variety of beverages and menu items available - whatever you're in the mood for - and I think in our large group we tried just about everything!

My husband and I got an Americano coffee. His was caffinated - mine was a decaf (one of the joys of being pregnant)!

Others in the group got a wide array of beverages. I think they included chillers, beverages over ice, steamers, and maybe even a hot chocolate. These all looked delicious too.

Some of us debated getting one of the huge cookies at Second Cup Edmonton. They're enormous. Definitely big enough to split and still be satisfied!

Everyone enjoyed their beverages and food.

It was a good way to relax and chill together after our time on the Square.
