West Edmonton Mall

People come to Edmonton just to visit the mall - and if you want to "do it all" - you'll have a full vacation just hanging out at the mall.

West Edmonton Mall Information

The West Ed will keep you occupied for a long time - not just because of the many things that it has to offer - but also because of it's sheer size.

This mall was opened on September 15, 1981. It has undergone four phases of construction. It held the title of being the world's largest mall for 23 years. It lost this distinction in 2004.

It is now the largest mall in North America and the 5th largest mall in the world.

So just how big is it? Well, it covers over 6 million square feet. The parking lot can hold over 20,000 vehicles.
